Thomas + Carrie got married in Salt Lake City, Utah . . . and it was completely them. From their paper craft flowers to their stylish outfits to their deeply personal vows to the square dancing at the reception, everyone who knows them would agree this wedding was Thomas + Carrie to its core. Kicking the weekend off, as two folklorists getting married are want to do, was an extremely moving and intimate Céilidh in which friends and family performed talents ranging from rubix cube solving to rapping for the smitten couple.
You might remember these two and their stylish ways from their Engagement Session back at our headquarters of Bloomington, Indiana. Carrie studies (wait for it . . . ) wedding dresses (!) as a folklorist and curator at an art museum so you just know she’s gonna have some style. She didn’t disappoint. She found a vintage sparkly dress, rocked some awesome glitter bow heels, and got a bright headpiece from Konigin. Thomas, who wears ties and colorful accessories on the daily, simply added a bow tie from The Belle and Beau to complete his look. Huge music aficionados, Thomas + Carrie had a super fun square dance led by some of their friends from Bueno Avenue String Band with Thomas’ dad, sister, and good mate sitting in throughout the night! Noms from Red Iguana might rank as our favorite food ever eaten at a wedding! High praise! Family and friends can check out more in the client gallery. Many many many congrats to Thomas + Carrie!
(And a big thanks to Thomas’ good pals from Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band for this tune to accompany their pics! Enjoy!)
