Josh + Mika: Photobooth! | Wedding | Bloomington, IN

Stay tuned in the next day or so for the full post of Josh and Mika’s wedding which was beautiful: artistic, elegant, and a dash of zaniness. The photobooth provided a great visual guestbook for the couple and simultaneously allowed everyone to envision how their lives might be if it were a little bit more moustached. To say that Mika has a bit of an obsession with ‘staches would be an understatement: read, she often wears a necklace of one. The photobooth was replete with fun people and fun facial hair. Josh + Mika: Sneak Peek! | Wedding | Bloomington, IN

Josh and Mika had a fabulous and fun wedding yesterday. They even braved a hike from the church to the reception site in the 99˚ heat index! This biker sure had the right idea. Marin + Melissa | James Madison University | Harrisonburg, VA

Back in our hometown of Harrisonburg, Virginia, we were able to meet up with Melissa to take pictures of her and her daughter, Marin, at James Madison University. Melissa had contacted us wanting some nice pictures of Marin, but in more of a documentary style. We were happy to oblige. We stretched our wings a bit and even tried some more traditional portraits, but Marin was on the move soon enough . . . that was just fine by us.

Summer Vacay

Lots of happenings around these parts. We’ve made it back in time for a big wedding shoot this weekend in Bloomington but only by way of Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky! First, in Blacksburg, Virginia, we got to see our baby goddaughter who is infinitely cuter than any kid you know!

Our trip continued to Northern Pennsylvania where we did what I can only assume to be normal Northerly things: going to the weekly Friday fish fry and eating funnel cake at the Wal-Mart parking lot carnival.

The North is not all about fried things and is, in fact, astoundingly beautiful. We hiked through some of the Alleghany National Forest where we learned about the dangers of Emerald Ash Borers.

We retreated from the Pennsylvania wild to the weekend retreats of Western New York including Midway, an (anti)quaint(ed) little theme park, and Bemus Point, a beautiful lake town.
